Candid family photos are what I am passionate about capturing. Real, authentic moments that make your family unique. I truly believe that candid photos are the best way to do just that, and I’m here to tell you why.
What are candid family photos?
First and foremost, candid photos show the true emotions and personalities of your family members. You know those moments when your little ones are being themselves, not posing for the camera? Those moments where they’re giggling or snuggling with you? Those are the moments that we want to capture! Candid photos tell a story about who you are as a family and show the connections and love between family members.
I get that not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera. That’s why I take the time to get to know you and your family before the session. I want you to feel relaxed and at ease, so we can create an environment where you can be yourselves. When you to have fun and enjoy the moment, the pictures become so much more personal and meaningful.
My photography style is all about bold colors and moody lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. Candid photos are the best way to capture the essence of your family, and our style reflects that.
What’s wrong with traditional photos?
It really depends on what you are looking for. Personally, I stay away from traditional posing when choosing my photographers. To me, that style of photography doesn’t represent my family in any way. The JC penny style of photos may be nostalgic, but it just doesn’t give me the results I’m looking for.
When it comes to family portraits, many people think of stiff, posed photos where everyone is looking at the camera. While there’s nothing wrong with those types of photos, candid photos offer a unique perspective. They show the real, genuine moments that happen in between poses, the moments that make your family who you are.
Another benefit of candid photos is that they allow you to remember the emotions and feelings from that moment in time. When you look back on your family photos, you want to remember how you felt in that moment, not just what you were wearing or what pose you were in. Candid photos capture the emotions and feelings of that moment, allowing you to relive it whenever you look at the photo.
I take pride in our ability to capture those real moments of love and connection between family members ( you can see a lot of my work here). To help you create memories that will last a lifetime is my biggest honor. That’s why I encourage you to have fun and embrace your natural beauty during the session. When kids to play, parents to look at them lovingly, and everyone displays a lot of affection your photos will go from good to incredible.
Should I choose candid family photos?
In my opinion, candid family photos will give you amazing results that you will cherish for a lifetime.
When you look back at these photos you will remember you child’s laughter, their little quirks and you will be automatically transported to this beautiful time in your life.
