If you ever thought
"I don't have a single nice photo of me
with my kids where
I’m not wearing pajamas or hiding behind a filter."
Then this is the right place for you! It's time to have images that show all the love and adoration you have for your kids, without any of the stress.
Whenever you're out with your kids doing something fun, I bet you're thinking "I hope they remember this".
You know what? They probably will, because you're right there, taking pictures and making sure they have something to look back on. The catch? YOU are not in the photos.
I know that you want to have proof that you were there, that you lived a full life. Photos that show that you too enjoyed picking berries that afternoon, that you loved watching the sunset and making castles at the beach.
This is what drives me to create these memories for you. So you can see yourself in them. So your kids can know that all the best days included you too.

"I chose a gorgeous dress from her client closet to wear, she helped us chose the location that would work best for our family, and even though my kids were running absolutely feral on the beach she captured so many beautiful images of all of us."
-Aerial Fletcher
"I usually feel a lot of anxiety around picking out outfits and what will go best. I sent her a photo of the dress I wanted to wear and was so happy when she contacted me with three separate looks for my entire family around the location and my dress! Our photos turned out amazing! The best family photos we've ever had."
- Erin Forgeron
We are so lucky to live in this beautiful place.
My favorite time of the year for outdoor photos in Portland is Summer. In Summer anything is possible. the Oregon coast is exploding with life and beautiful weather and everywhere you look there's sunshine and blooms.
Spring is a great time for family photos with wildflowers. It starts at the end of March with the cherry blossoms, then we get wildflowers in the gorge in April and May.
Fall is the best time for family photos in Portland if you want those rich and warm colors. October is my favorite month for this, but we can get away with photographing Fall way into November.
December to February are the rainiest months, so a cozy in home family session is the best at this time.
Some of the best places for family photos near Portland are:
The Columbia River Gorge,
Oregon Coast,
Cooper Mountain Nature Park
Graham Oaks.
Having said that, your family photos should be uniquely yours and I have worked and some beautifully unique locations with my clients.
Whether you want to stroll around the Alberta neighborhood, have a picnic in your backyard or go do an activity that your family loves doing together ( think camping, arcade, skate park, paddleboarding), we will plan something that is meaningful to you.
Yes! And I have a lot of experience with them. I love helping extended families make beautiful memories together.
Around 3-4 weeks after your session your photos will be ready to view and download.
Wall art and albums will be delivered up to 6 weeks after your session.
Absolutely! During our consultation we will look at wardrobe together to decide what everybody will wear. You can borrow pieces from my client closet to make things even easier for you.
The short answer is, we have fun! Kids get to be kids in my session. No need to be forcing them to smile or stay still. We will run around, play games and you'll have lots of cuddles with them. It works like magic!
We are no strangers to rain here in the PNW. I usually wait until a few hours before the session to make a final decision on weather reschedules since the weather can change so much in a few hours. We will keep in touch on the day and make the decision that is best for your family!
1. What if it rains?
In home sessions are a big yes for me. When you are home, you and your kids will feel the most at ease. Your house doesn't have to be straight out of HGTV either, I can help you with a few tweaks to make the most out of your space.
